Why people aren’t coming back to your business

PwC’s Chief People Officer, Laura Hinton, is encouraging people to ‘dip their toes into the water’ and try a return to the office. She, like Chancellor Rishi Sunak, knows that a lot of people have been pleasantly surprised when they’ve finally ventured out and found things are rather like before.

In my video this week, I discuss the five factors which affect how people will respond to the push to return.

  • Those on the right of the scale are already heading towards your revolving doors.

  • Those in the middle, might be tempted by a half-price pizza and Coke.

  • But the ones on the left are going nowhere—possibly quite legitimately—and good luck persuading them otherwise.

Next week I’ll be sharing the results of the business leaders and stress survey launched last week. Do fill it in and share if you haven’t already. Thank you to those that have—some really insightful comments so far.
