What's more damaging than burnout? Lessons from ‘The Bear’
The kids are back! Hope you’ve had a good summer (aside from anyone in the UK who needs to take this week off to absorb the only sunshine we seem to have had since June).
This week on the vlog, moving on from burnout to explore its opposite: Boreout—its impact on people, productivity, and retention, and what you can do about it.
For anyone who hasn’t inhaled ‘The Bear’ on Disney+ yet, do it now… The mesmerising Chef Tina is our guide here.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be looking at Stanford’s Nick Bloom’s piece in The Economist predicting a Nike Swoosh on working from home (my headline: ‘Yes, but messier’). Meeting Dr Julia DiGangi, a neuroscientist with a new book about managing our energy much better—actually life changing. Plus, I’ll be sharing the results of a number of techniques I’ve been trying out to increase my productivity.
As ever, ideas, suggestions and topics welcome. Also, you need to tell us what to watch next.
Yes, Chef!
