Have we cursed a generation? 📉
I don’t want to go full Jordan Peterson on you, but my ears pricked up recently when another speaker on our panel, the head of talent at a huge UK employer, said casually:
"We’ve stopped bothering to hire from Russell Group universities."
Why are Gen Z such a pain in the arse to manage?
Don’t yell at me! You’re all asking.
I’ve been running all over the country interviewing the under 25s and sharing the findings.
Stop using Gen Z as an excuse!
The latest Microsoft Work Trend Index (31,000 people in 31 markets) has landed, and shows that 51% of organisations plan to return to full-time office hours by the end of the year. At the same time, a majority of employees say they prefer to mix work between the office and home. Perhaps this fundamental disagreement is why 41% of employees say they are considering leaving their jobs…
But does that include young people?
What Gen Z thinks of you
Gen Z, aka the Zoomers, were (disputably) born between 1997 and 2012. So they’re currently under 25—and shockingly—include my oldest child. The younger two are Alphas (tell me something I didn’t know).
